  • All you need to have is large onion which is thinly sliced, you can use your type of onion for this. Two tablespoon of vegetable oil, a cup of all-purpose flour, one to three cups of water, one beef bouillon cube and pepper and salt to taste.
  • The first thing that you should do is to preheat your frying pan on a medium heat. Then add your vegetable oil until it covers the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the onions that are thinly sliced, cook it carefully and make sure to stir it often to avoid burning them. Wait until the onions are iridescent in color and tender in texture. Now remove the onions from the frying pan and let the oil drain.
  • Now after the oil drains from the onion, you can now add the salt, pepper and flour. Mix them well until the cooking oil absorbs them. You should continue mixing them until the flour turns brown in color.
  • Now add a cup of water into the mixture, do this until the mixture becomes smooth. Remember that this mixture will surely become thin or thick.
  • Now add the beef bouillon cube and mix them well.
  • Once you have got the texture of the gravy that you want, add the fried onions to your mixture and mix them well. This time you have to lessen the heat to warm and cover the pan.
